The Minirth Christian Program provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults, age 18 years of age and older. We provide inpatient crisis stabilization to patients who are suffering from a mental health and/or a chemical dependency condition. Patients are admitted for treatment of problems such as: depression, addictions, chronic suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other serious psychiatric conditions.
The focus of treatment is to stabilize the patient and refer to a lower level of appropriate care. The emphasis of treatment for our patients is to provide the quality and quantity of treatment required to assist both the patient and his or her family to work toward a smooth transition into the community, with the greatest possible degree of appropriate independent functioning. The Adult Program consists of Adult Acute Psychiatric Services, Chemical Dependency Care, Dual Diagnosis track, and the Intensive Care Unit.
Adult Acute Program provides for initial assessment of adult psychiatric patients. During the length of stay, the program initiates and develops treatment and discharge plans. The program promotes and facilitates the patients' independent functioning in daily activities. Emphasis is on providing care, treatment, and services that will enable the patients to return to and function in the community at the earliest possible time.
